先日宝蔵院の槍みたいな蔓状セネキオを貰いまして。
よく付随しているラベルは " Senecio peregrinus "・・・。






以前からどうも疑問に思っていたので調べてみる。
ラテン語で種小名が付いてますが「雑種である」、との触れ込み。
ペケ印も無い。
となるとナチュラルハイブリなのか？
でも古いガーデンハイブリならラテン語で名前が付けられててもおかしくはない。
ハウエバーなんとなくそんなに古そうでもないような印象。
それならばわかりやすくシングルクオーテーションで品種名にフォーマットを変えたほうが良い。

Senecio radicans 'Gordon Rowley' Zonneveld, stat. nov.
Basionym: Senecio rowleyanus H. Jacobsen (Nat. Cactus. Succ. J. 23:23-31, 1968).
G. Rowley (Brit. Cact. Succ. J. 14 (2): 93-94, 1996) also describes an unusual hybrid between the stamsucculent S. articulatus (a seedling has 5.8 pg, see following article) and S. rowleyanus with the name S. 'Hippogriff'.
This is the same plant which is also with S. x peregrinus is indicated, what, according to Rowley is an illegal name.

S. x peregrinus はやっぱり無効名臭い。

Senecio x peregrinus ( Kunk. ) G.D.Rowley ・・・コレのせいかな？
Basionym: Kleinia x peregrina (Kunk.) で Kleinia 属から Senecio 属にコンバートされたみたいだけど Senecio peregrinus Griseb. 1879 があるっていう。

ホモニム、か。
こういうのはアエオにおけるグリノビアだと命名し直されてましたが詳しくはよくわからんです。
セネキオだし。
いずれにしても「紛らわしい名前禁止」「分類郡まんま品種名扱い」「 ICBN は ICNCP に対して一方的な優先権を持つという暗黙の了解的な不文律がナンタラ」もあるし S. ‘Peregrinus’ は使えそうにない。
（もちろんラテン語なのもヨロシクない）

ってことなんでとにかく Senecio ‘Hippogriff’ のほうが園芸上の正名なんだろうな、って気がしますよ。
Kleinia x peregrina と Senecio peregrinus Griseb. 1879 がどんな植物なのか気にはなりなりますが。

Hippogriff というのはメジャーな怪獣で、ハリポタなんかにも出てくるワシの頭と翼を持つ伝説上の馬。

セネキオは「美空鉾 is NOT Senecio antandroi 」っていう記事を２年前くらいに書こうと思ったんですがメモを無くしてしまいました。

セネキオも交雑が簡単ならもう少し盛り上がりそうですが、花期もバラバラな感じだし何より花が小さすぎて。

で、先日試合延長しまくりでパ・リーグ主義っていう後番組を中止して放送延長という事態になったらＨＤ画質になってビックリ。
延長したら高画質になったでござるの巻。
よく考えたらニュースとかの映像はＨＤなんだから番組自体はＨＤ製作ですわな。
孫さんＨＤで頼んますよ。
